PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE:   

INTERNSHIPS

Rep Stage is looking for interns for its 2007-2008 season. Our internship program is designed to engage a current or recently graduated undergraduate student in a hands-on educational experience. Internships last 14 - 16 weeks (coinciding with a fall or spring semester model), and include hands-on work (15-20 hours per week) in a designated area of focus, individualized educational and professional goals, and bi-weekly intern/apprentice seminar meetings led by Rep Stage employees, guest artists, and regional specialists. The internships include a stipend of $1400 and students may engage in an internship for college credit (if so desired). Interns focus on one of two areas: technical theatre or production/theatre administration. As Rep Stage is a small organization, each internship is catered to individual interests and needs.

Technicians

Experienced individuals (minimum two years preferred) needed to provide technical assistance within a multi-venue facility, supporting Howard Community College's Arts and Humanities departmental and rental events/productions as well as those of Rep Stage (HCC's professional theatre in residence). 

Positions include lighting technicians, sound technicians, light board operators, sound board operators, carpenters, painters, welders. 

Candidates able to take initiative, problem solve, work well with a team and possess strong people skills.

Salary:  $9.00 - $12.00 per hour, based on experience or contract per show.

CASTING

Rep Stage casts from regional open auditions, both Union (Equity - SPT V) and Non-Union Actors.
We send representatives to the Washington/Baltimore/Northern Virginia Regional Equity-Only Auditions, the League of Washington Theaters Annual Auditions, and the Baltimore Theatre Alliance Annual Auditions. (The last two are for Equity and non-union actors.)
These auditions are the best way for you to be seen by Rep Stage Casting, as we do not hold open auditions for each production.


We will accept headshots from locally housed actors only, as we are unable to provide housing stipends.
