Rep Stage Presents "Dames at Sea"
It is with a heavy heart I write to inform you that we have decided to cancel our upcoming production of Dames at Sea. Given the evolving nature of COVID-19 and its growing impact on the local, state, and national levels, we felt this was the most responsible course of action and supports Howard County’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus, which includes a 45-day suspension of public events. While our production is scheduled to open soon after the 45 days, there remains too much uncertainty at this time to move forward with the production.
We are operating in uncharted territory, and this global pandemic continues to require the support and understanding of every member of our community. Your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our staff and artists, will continue to be our top priority, and I believe that, by working together, we will do our part to slow the spread of this disease.
Flex members may use their remaining tickets towards our 2020–2021 season with no added fees. You may also consider donating the cost of your ticket to Rep Stage. If neither of these are an option that works for you, we will work with each patron to find a solution that best fits their needs.
The Horowitz Center Box Office is closed for Spring Break March 16–22. Box office staff will be answering emails remotely during the college closure. Please allow for 24–48 hour response time during the closure.
As you can imagine, cancelling a full production places tremendous financial strain on any theatre. If you are so moved, consider making a tax-deductible donation that will support Rep Stage during this uncertain time.
I cannot express how much your support of the art and its people means to me. Please be safe during this unsettling time. I look forward to seeing you at the theatre for our exciting 2020–2021 season. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally via e-mail with any questions or concerns.
